Enrolling or switching your health plan is easier than you’d expect.

Simply follow the instructions below

For PSHB Medical Plans:

1. Choose a medical plan.
   • New hires have 60 days to choose benefits
2. Have the answers to the following questions ready:
   • Will you be enrolling yourself only or you and your family?
   • Which plan did you select?
   • What is the enrollment code for that plan?
   • You can find the enrollment code using our tool to the right.
3. Postal Service Employees and Retirees enroll electronically using the Postal Service Health Benefits System:
   • health-benefits.opm.gov/pshb
4. You can also complete the SF 2809.
   • Print it, fill it out, and provide a copy to your human resources office.
5. You can call the PSHB Helpline
   • Call 1-844-451-1261 Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 8:45 pm ET
6. If you are an annuitant (retiree), and would like to enroll in Aetna Medicare Advantage (HLD, HLF, HLE), you will need to complete a second step of enrollment:
   • Provide Aetna with your Medicare information to opt-in to Aetna Medicare Advantage. Once you are enrolled through the OPM site, your basic information will be transferred to Aetna. (Please allow 7–10 business days.)
     Then we will need the following to complete your enrollment in Aetna Medicare Advantage:
     • Your original Medicare effective date for Parts A & B
     • Your Medicare Beneficiary ID
     You may go to www.aetnaretireehealth.com/PSHBP or call us at 1-866-241-0262 and give us this information. If you are over age 65, we’ll send you a reminder postcard.

For FEDVIP Dental or Vision Plans:

1. Choose a supplemental plan.
   • New hires have 60 days to choose benefits
2. Have the answers to the following questions ready:
   • Will you be enrolling yourself only or you and your family?
   • Which plan did you select?
3. Visit or call BENEFEDS
   • Enroll online at BENEFEDS.gov and click Login to create a new account or access your existing account
   • Call 1-877-888-3337 (TTY: 1-877-889-5680)
